Joint project “nanoAR” launched for new and robust anti-reflectivesolutions for the clean energy supply of the future. Glatt’s part in this project relates to the production of ultra-fine nanopowders with high purity and a narrow particle size distribution. Glatt powder synthesis will be used for this purpose. The powders produced will then be applied by the project partners as a mask to the surfaces to be anti-reflective coated.
Discover interesting possibilities for the synthesis and functionalization of advanced powder particles. Glatt powder synthesis in pulsating hot gas flow as well as processes in the high temperature fluidized bed play an important role. Solutions for complex stoichiometry and crystal structure requirements, for example in mixed oxides, are considered as well as options for organic and inorganic core-shell coating and aspects of calcination. ACHEMA 2024, Hall 3.0, Stand H4: Glatt presents a pilot coating module. Now: Fully continuous coating in all scales for non-pharmaceutical applications. The GFC 16 process module, which the market leader for fluidised bed and spouted bed technology will be showcasing at ACHEMA in Frankfurt, expands the performance spectrum of pilot systems at the Glatt Technology Centre in Weimar. One application example is the coating of fertilisers with biopolymers to specifically control the release of ingredients.
The increasing demand for applications within electromobility or stationary energy storage requires the implementation of novel, sustainable and continuous manufacturing processes as well as processes for coating active materials. Aerosol-based methods based on spray drying / spray calcination and spray granulation by powder synthesis and fluid bed technology are presented using selected examples. First results on electrochemical characterisation are shown.
